IRS Finalizes $10,000 New Car Loan Interest Deduction
The final rule covers loans on new, US-assembled personal vehicles that originated from the start of 2025 through 2028. Used-car loans do not qualify, and the deduction shrinks by $200 for every $1,000 of income over $100,000 for single filers. The regulations take effect Nov. 9.
