2027 Hyundai Tucson Goes Big and Bold, and We Now Have All the Specs

The redesigned Tucson replaces its 2.5-liter base engine with a 184-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four. The 233-hp hybrid is rated at up to 42 mpg combined and can now tow 3,000 pounds. A new XRT Pro trim adds ground clearance, all-terrain tires and skid plates.

Both Audis share a 295-hp 3.0-liter V6 diesel and quattro all-wheel drive. The Q7 seats seven, tows more and clears ruts more easily off-road. Top Gear calls the Allroad, roughly 660 pounds lighter, the much better vehicle unless seven seats are essential.

In Car and Driver's highway test, the Recon Moab covered 160 miles on a 94-kWh battery, against an EPA estimate of about 220. The Autopian notes a cheaper Rivian R2 went 260 miles in the same test. Jeep has sold 82 Recons in 2026.
