Volkswagen Launches All-Electric ID. Tiguan
The ID. Tiguan replaces the ID.4 and launches in Europe in early 2027, and Kelley Blue Book expects US sales to start with the 2028 model year. VW quotes up to about 295 horsepower and about 370 miles of European-cycle range. Physical buttons replace the touch sliders.
2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Review: Great Fuel Economy But So Much Cheap Plastic
The Grand Highlander Hybrid starts at about $47,000 with a 245-horsepower four-cylinder hybrid system and standard all-wheel drive. It averaged 30.6 mpg over about 630 miles of highway driving in The Drive's testing. Joel Feder scores it 8 out of 10 and finds the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid's cabin nicer.

China’s Geely to Start Selling Cars in Canada Next Year, Company Says
Canada replaced its 100% tariff on Chinese-built cars this year with a quota of 49,000 vehicles for 2027, allocated first come, first served. Geely, which also owns Volvo, Polestar and Lotus, has not named models or prices. BYD, Chery and Dongfeng also plan to enter the market.

Waymo, Zoox and Tesla terms allow rider data to be shared with law enforcement, Wired reports. In July, Waymo ended a ride and called police after cabin cameras flagged a water-bead gun as a possible firearm. Waymo says cabin microphones activate only for staff calls or when riders enable them.

Top Gear inspects the Tensei, a Honda-approved NSX rebuilt by JAS Motorsport with Pininfarina-styled carbon-fiber bodywork over the original aluminum structure. A Judd-tuned V6 built on an original Honda block makes 420 horsepower and revs to 8,500 rpm. Buyers must supply a donor NSX.

Starting in 1980, owner-operator Bob Sliwa added a fiberglass nose cone, cab extenders and trailer skirts to his Ford CL-9000 cabover. At a steady 55 mph, his fuel economy rose from 4.4 mpg to a best of 10.52 mpg. NASA research in the 1970s estimated a 25% gain from streamlining.

Rivian Removes Some R2 Cooled-Seat Functionality over Excessive Noise
From around VIN 10,000, R2 seats ventilate only the cushion and drop the backrest fan, according to forum reports. Rivian told Car and Driver the seatback fan created excessive cabin noise and that seat heating is unchanged. Forum posts say some order holders have canceled or paused deliveries.
WonderFold x Porsche L4 Stroller Wagon Brings Sports Car Style to Family Life
The Porsche edition of the four-seat wagon starts at about $2,000, roughly twice the price of the standard L4. A version at about $2,600 adds battery-assisted wheels with downhill assist and electronic braking. It is on sale in the US and China now, and Europe follows November 1.
